Right now i have a 60g tank that has two heaters in it, one is a old green ebo-jager 150w 120v n the other is a whisper 60 200w (was really cheap at wallmart. The problem im having is i cant keep the tank temp. up at all. My temp drops days after w/c, unless i keep the new water hot. The whisper is located on the leftbside stright up n down n the green ebojager (15" modle) is on the right slanted at a 45. The ebo is set at 8 n the whisper is full n i never seen it on then a min. The ebo is allways on but the tank stays around 84 dig readout, n thermal 82. Both read out are one each side. So what im asking how can i get this tank to be a little warmer. im looking at easy 86-88f. I dont really want to go iut n get a 300 or 400w heater.

Also do old heater put out less heat? An if i have 350w all shouls i just get a 300wer? I also have good movment inside the tank due to thexp3

It all depends what is your rooms ambient temp? How much of a temp change from that do you desire? For me a stealth 200 watt can keep my 55 at 86 no problem. My ambient temperature is between 60-70 Fahrenheit

Not only is ambient temp important, but the type of heat you have can play a part. For example, my old neighbors have radiant floor heat, which soaks up into the room through the rugs and furniture, and their tank stays much more consistent than mine. We have forced air heat, and there are hot and cold spots throughout the house.
