Do someone know...
I have a 2.5 inch electric catfish, but heīs electrifying my clown loaches (they are hyperactive), I donīt know if heīll discharge before the attack, and the piranhas could learn not to get near him?

electric cats should be housed by them selves are you aware that they can get about a meter long? the piranhas might rip him apart before he can discharge.

In most info about electric catfishes say that they will grow about 30cms in acuariums, and in some say they can be housed with big fishes only. I will keep him even if I need just an acuarium for him. Thank you, and yes, the piranhas just attack without picking on him, like other fishes do....

BOTH electric cats and piranhas should be housed ALONE (in the case of pygocentrus, in schools).

END of discussion. ;)

as inferred, any tankmates with an e-cat stand a high chance of getting killed at some point or other.
