is there any alternatives for a pond liner because i dont have much money and all i have is an old pool liner i am using now probally not goint 2 have fish for a while until i get a new real pondliner or an alternative of one.

Nothing that is cheaper will last very long but I have seen the heavy construction grade plastic sheeting used for seasonal ponds that where torn down every fall.

i see the same thing for some reason pond liners dont last thru many winters here .

a pond with a concrete base reinforced with rebar with cinderblock walls with that reinfiorced with rebar and filled with concrete sounds good :thumbsup:

concrete is only 5 bucks a back

my dads pond only cost him about 4000 for everything

but if just use concrete, cinder block and rebar as your building materials cost are almost cut in half, and this is cheaper in the long run, since you wont need a liner to replace every year because of winter
