Are those Daffodils an existing colony, or newly introduced fish? Reason being is aggression, if they are newly introduced fish then you'll have a lot of fights in there, all you need is one pair, and they will colonize the tank like there's no tomorrow.

existing colony!

Iv'e had them since fry. Wingate had the breeding pair and he gave me 20 of the little ones. but there too big for that tank now. their new tank is cycling as we speak.

? Daffodils = neolamprologus brichardi ?
is that there common name? Iv'e never heard them called that. but Iv'e always wondered if they have one.

Yes on the common name. I still think you'll have some trouble once they start pairing up.

Daffodils are Neolamprolongus Pulcher. Very similar to Bricharti but have more orange, I think they are a subspecies or something.

They look like regular Neolamprologus Brichardi to me.. the Daffodil's have more yellow coloration in them than the photo above..

Here is a photo of my Neolamprologus Brichardi.. Brichardi..

some I'm going to guess that a common name is just Brichardi

I can't wait till I get them in the Big tank with black sand.

3m colorquartz. Any pool builder should stock it and they have lots of other colors too.

Cool thanks... I wish I hadn't already stocked my new tanks but mabye someday I'll try out the black sand... Do cichlids love sifting through it as much as they do the crushed coral and substrate?

They look really nice. colored up well since you've gotten them. If you run into aggression you can always dump some off at the other lfs I did'nt take any to. Plus yours are looking way better than the one's Seth has at the lfs. I would'nt be surprised if he would take some more, if and when the time comes. The tank looks awesome btw. The sand looks like it was worth taking vacation time from work to go get!lol;)
