Should be fine. People feed them to their stingrays all the time. I just would not collect them from a farmer's field.

I agree with everyone. Just keep a close eye on where you are getting them from. Clean dirt means a clean worm.

sorry to disagree guys imo i would buy them from a bait shop they are super cheap and you have a variety to many pollutants in the ground these days to risk it i was talking to a guy who took soil samples from a property we were building on he told me some horror storys about pcps and other toxics being found on country land damn stuff never goes away.

It's totally safe. Been doing that for a long time now.
Spring is here together with earthworm season. hahahah
Little tips:
Can get a lot and keep them in a cool place. They will survive for a long long time as long as it's a cool place. Keeping them in the fridge will also do so that you dont have to go out every time it rains to pick them. Have like 200 from friday's "harvesting" :)

Yep, as long as you do not use pesticides, or other chemicals, you should be good to go. I have used them plenty of times, let no worm go to waste, ha ha ha.

they wont stink unless they die, keep them in clean dirt, that sounds weird. Ya keep them in "clean" dirt and in the fridge. I have kept worms up to 3 weeks in there.

Yeah, what you can do for "clean" dirt, lol, is just go buy a small bag of potting soil, and get a tupperware container, with some small holes in the lid, some moisture (not more than a few tsp. of water), and they should do fine.

I don't know what it is call, like earth worms but found in sand along sea side. Think is sand worm right? Have try feeding my aro for sometime now and they are high protein and very safe.
