View Full Version : Bronx zoo herps and others

Hadn't been since i was kid, so my gf and i drove 2 hours to NY and check it out. Overall it was nice, they do a lot as far as offering information on the downfalls of the pet trade and other environmental issues. The herps were nice, but the enclosures weren't very impressive. They had a hatchery area with lots of little ones, quite a few varinids too. Plus wednesdays are free admission! You can donate whatever you want though which is good.
Pics are so-so, lighting made it difficult and facebook probably messed up the quality. Check em out..........

The crocs are awesome. What kind of frog is that with the gilas? Looks like an odd combo.

Ahhh i can't remember, some sort of toad i believe. Sonoran desert toad maybe...

Anyone know if they do?

really nice photos! back when i was little i used to live in ny, my dad used to take me to the bronx zoo almost every weekend as i was fascinated with animals.

Some apeared on kingsnake a wille ago;) You got a reall taste for expeciality turts:D Thouse are really nice ones

nice pics! i went last summer when it was like 90 degrees out and it killed me. you definetly chose the right time to go!

When did Pangshura tecta show up on kingsnake?

All I have seen are Pangshura tentoria circumdata. I am watching some of them swim around right beside me as I type this.
