I'm thinking of buying one for a pred community, how is their aggression level?

I know someone who had a big anec, that big the head of a 2ft pleco and a couple of bichirs, and would kill anything. That's why I am weary of getting one.

But what about the slender lungfish? Is this less aggressive?

My friend who I may ask to get it for me, said it's 20cm, and is in with edible size fish that seem fine.

Even though the dolloi isn't the largest of lungfish (adult ~3ft), this species is still too aggressive to keep with any other fish. Including another P. dolloi. The only adult lungfish I've been able to keep in a community setup is the S. American (Lepidosiren paradoxa).
My most aggressive LF would have to be my annectens. He even chases my hand when I'm working on the tank. Next, would be my aethiopicus followed by the dolloi. My AULs are only aggressive towards each other so, they've been separated. But, neither has harassed my large spot Paratilapias. My L. paradoxa are in with endlers LBs and I haven't seen any drop in their numbers.

Thanks for the reply oddball. So even though the dolloi is less aggressive than an annec and a aethio, it's still a no go to keep it with large cichlids, largish catfish, and bichirs?

What's the growth rate like for a dolloi?

And which LF is your personal favourite?
