My arowanas ate from my hand for the first time today, unless you count the time I was talking to my wife, with food in the tank, and had one come bite my finger that was dangling in the water. Took quite a while but quite rewarding.

Nice. Mine started doing this too not long ago. It's a good way to monitor his food intake.

Just one of the great experiences of owning a aro.
My first silver that ate from my hand was so gentle. The one I have now seems like he wants to take my whole hand off.

I saw your video that you feed your big girl some raw shrimp. That is SO FREAKIN SWEET! Can't wait for mine to get to be that size.

Ah the beauty of diverse fish. Each one will have its own personality.

Beware, I was bitten by my crazy adult red before when hand feeding. No serous injury just some blood, fine little teeth marks and a little itchy.

think if you have a comm tank, they'd not be so gentle. :grinyes:

most of the time they'd rush and snap at anything that fall into the water. guess it's survival of the fittest when there is more of them living together.
