They are. I don't know what it is about that orino. The others can have plump bellies for a few days after a feeding, but the orino gets gaunt within 24 hours. Maybe he's got worms?

Hey John, that's a pair of sweet Temensis with speckles! Awesome! How do you make it happen? Is it in the diet (shrimp?)or genetic? Are these farm boys? I haven't seen any Temensis quite like that. Truly awesome fish and good photo taking skills, well done!

Yup, you are right...those LFS just labeled them with the name Peacock Bass and did not specify what species is it, but i am pretty sure they're monos too.

I remember there was this Ron Looi guy that goes around spreading the Pbass gospel. I have seen some of them to have red eyes, and I am suspecting there is some Ocellaris blood in those Monoc. Of course I have been proven wrong many times over

Hey boosten, you should consider T5HO or MH for tank deeper than 2 feet. I use T5HO and like it! I can see my tems showing bluish and greenish hue more vividly than before. Anything between 6500 to 10000 kelvin should be good. Try mixing the tube, maybe you will get better results.

Oh, don't forget E-ballast to drive the tubes if you go the flourescent route.

my amonia levels are trippin still but seems to be calming down.... and the ph/hardness is still staying @ 7.6:irked: after i threw some water soften'r pillows in... supposingly those things can handle 150 gallons per bag... and i threw in 3 of them in my 6x2x2... :irked:

:grinno: water softener pillows are no good! it uses salt to soften the water which is not good for soft water fish. buy some black water for now or get some new pieces of bog wood to release some tannins.. their is always peat, and katapang leaves as well to do the job

Nah oscars are scared of my bass, there more pre occupied with themselves and watching out for my silver, my silver bullies them around every now and then.. the tank holds close to 350 gallons..
