my big guys are 15 -18" my medium guys are 8 - 10" my orinos are 5 - 6" and i have baby ocellaris that are 2+". 4 different tanks.

boosten the 2 spots are in there , lousy shots tonight. Most of them are two or three spot orionos, the other half are wild monos. I'll try to keep you guys posted weekly. I do not see any rapps style orinos here, but definitely 2/ 3 spot orinos. I am one of the first people on this site to have them rarely, now they come in pretty frequently. Just ask RED1, I was the first to ever have two spotters.

Nice pick up for sure! Sweet Sp. when older in my opinion but I wouldn't even try more then 2 Tem's in a 240 long. And that's with a few 16'' fish and some ranging in length -. There is no way you could keep that many long term unless you have a big tank(s). I say 450g would really be pushing it.:confused: But sweet pick up none the less. I know you would do right by the cichla if need be. :D

So the other week, my tropical pond started leaking. I tried to fix it, then one day I came home from work and there was 4" of water in it, so I decided I needed to do something. I had another tank that I was working on buffing out the scratches in, so I decided that would have to wait and set it up again. I put 3 Red Bay Snook and 2 Gar in it and the rest of the fish moved into a regular Koi pond. Since I've purchased 2 Ocellaris. Unfortunately the tank looks really foggy because I didn't finish buffing out the scratches from the previous tenant. Check out my new Ocellaris and tell me what you think!

Wasn't really looking. I found the fish I wanted and then had to get funds to pick some up. Unfortunately they sold out of tems before I had a chance to grab em. I also ended up buying a new light and some plants which slowed the process.

i got them from a guy in QLD private , at around 8-10 cm had them a while now really growin fast now i have them on pellets and feeding the 2-3 times a day

The one you have appears to be Wild caught. So in that case not so common at all. Very nice looking Cichla. Had this guy about a month and I know he's put on approx 1.5'-2". He's 10"-11.5 eyball guess. Enjoy.

The tank is a freebee 100 gal that I use as a growout. It was roughly used and about to be thrown away so its kinda scratched up.

Definately hes always on the move, he gets any foods before anything else.

and of course it caused me many hours of moving fish and tank maintanence(weekly).

anyhow, what did i end up with here? i know P-bass, but what kind? hungry little bugger, taking off on trout worms. i have feeders in the QT tank, they wont be ready for a week or so.

Haha yeah the difference is photoshop skills and a camera that cost about 10x's what that one costs! I used a Canon 20-D for a long time with an "L" glass lens, total setup was like 4 grand :eek:

Oh my :eek: i think youve been misinformed my friend, you can keep cichla in there to grow them out but you cant keep cichla in their for life..:grinno:

No I didnt get it from rapps, actually got it from my LFS. I thought they were monos until some members on MFK stated that they were orinos and what do you know they do and have the same characteristics of an orino. :D
