Looking good, I'm still trying to talk the wife out of getting into reptiles, not that I don't like them but we have too many pets!

IM a little on the light side :) One Brazillian Mastiff (Bruno) and Now this little guy, Im gonna be getting a fish tank soon too! I really wanted A tank With Large Mouths in it but i decided that trying to keep 2 largemouths would require too large of an aqarium :*(. So idk what to get now LOL.

He's ADORABLE! as for future tank ideas... here is the custom I made for my girl.
P.s-- measure twice, cut once is key, I made my tank too shallow... and my doors don't line up... I'm converting it to a sliding glass front this summer (I hope) and going to make it taller. I'm also buying some kick ash lights from someone on AC for it.

Very nice! You might want to reconsider keeping him on Reptile Carpet though. I have heard horror stories of them getting their nails caught in the fibers and losing toes. I used to use that stuff until I heard that. Also...it is notorious for being a breeding ground for bacteria. I use tile on the bottom of my enclosure. It is very easy to clean and looks nice. Good luck with him!!!

Yes Repti Carpet can also house various germs and be unsanitary. I would switch to paper towel. You can see every mark that the dragon leaves and easier to clean. (just toss it out haha)

Good to know! Thank you, i would hate to see my beardy loose a toe :(!! Any thoughts on putting him on Sand or calcium sand once he is an adult?

Any sand, even calci-sand can cause impaction. I love how it looks and I used to use it, but my beardie's health was more important. He actually got impacted and if I hadn't of caught the warning signs when I did, he would have died.

Calcium sand is dangerous because they think it's food, it's unsafe for any animal IMO. Sand once it's wet gets like cement and thats just bad.
All particle substrate has a danger of impaction, such as wood chips, crushed wallnut, Et. Cetera.
I'm a personal fan of tiles, both adhesived down and loose, and also of non adhesive shelf liner.
