how would i tell which sex is which in a common jewel. does any one have pics for examples?

With African riverine Cichlids, the females hold the more dominant coloration..

With S.A. cichlids, the males hold the more dominant coloration..

Right?

You know with the jewels I've kept they are almost the same. Often times the male is as red as the female.

But for example.. Kribs.. Females hold the coloration, and Males do not.. flip-flopped for SA?
