Hi I have a cichlid which has been beaten quite badly, I got her only yesterday, she has blood batches on her tail fin and some on her body.
I have separated her(divided the tank), added aquarium salt, turned tank lights off, raised temp and did a w/c and cleaned the filters as the flow was getting slower.

Know she is lying on her side, when I come to the tank she can/will gain balance again and stay like that for a few minutes before lying down again.
I have been told to get her and put her in front of the power head so the flow will force her gills open so she will get more oxygen correct?

So should I do this, or any other techniques I should use to save her, It happened this time yesterday, I an going to do a water change every day.

So please help by giving advise on know to save her, I cant loose this fish:irked:

Thanks in advance
Dave

My oscar does that too whenever h is nervous or uneasy, it almost looks liek they are goign to die. Then in a couple days he will be swimming around liek a crazy fish!

Its just somthing cichlids do, i think your fish will be ok just give it a few days.
