Good luck with your Gonecephalus, can be quite tricky to establish.Lots of real plants and a misting system can help. Also, get your vet to worm him, normally full of parasites.

Wow that awesome. It looks like a cross between a bearded dragon and green iguana.

I totally agree with that. You need to put a load of real or fake plants in that setup for them to feel secure. What are you feeding it? Anyways, sweet lizard!

Amazing lizard:D However I dont agree in worming, he looks nice and plump, if we were talking about a tin sickly one that would be a diferent matter but here I think its just the matter of letting him be, worming him wouldnt do anything more then disrupt he´s gut flora and stress him alot wich could kill him by itself. Put him in a VERY large vivarium with lots of life plants and yes a misting sistem is a great idea;) Dont forget newly brough plants can have insectisides, dont use them straigh away. Also dont forget this guys dont like brigth ligth and tend not to bask so a ceramic lamp with a termostat may be the ideal way to warm him. Also dont keep him too much warm, they live undershadow and excessive heat can stress them

When ive had shipments of these, yes they look plump, but have large quantities of worms. Also, they do like a basking spot, usually high on a branch, but keeping the temps lowish.Basically treat them like wc chameleons.Try not to get bitten if you have to handle for any reason, they have "fangs"! They are also highly terrotorial and will stress each other out if kept together.

i agree with coura %100 i cared for 100's of these over the yrs and if you do to much they will stress also they will not drink stilled water so a water fall or misting system is a must

Actually it appears to be a female Gonocephalus doriae. I have two females myself and a clutch of eggs incubating. I keep my two together in a 6' tall x 3' x 3' wire mesh enclosure with live plants and a mist system that goes off twice a day for 20 minutes. Here are a couple photos of mine:

I was going to say that mesh enclosures arent the best because they let out heat and moist, but since your in Florida it isnt that big of a deal:D The best of lucks with the eggs;)

Thanks but thouse aint my photos or animals, I wish. But now I must worn you:confused: I dont think thats a G. doriae, the skales, the proporcions, the snout and the color is diferent then from the animals in thouse photos. I also think it may actualy be a male:confused:

Ok aparently they really are from diferent species, the question is wich is wich  Both animals are identified online as G. doriae or G. abotti. One has a shorter snout and head, body mainly darker green and a sligty bigger crest and head(Nicolai´s animal) The others have a longer snout with a bigger darker protuberance, a very well marked set of crest scales and a emerald green body with yellow spots on the belly

Actually I was the one who posted those photos. Now that Coura points out the difference in the crest scalation, however, I agree that they are two different species. I'm still trying to find a male for my females. Luckily one of mine was gravid when I got her and her clutch is incubating.

Thouse are gorgeous;) However the first male has yet another more flat snout, the most likely is to be the one is the 3 male
