pleco and rays have been together for almost a year... no problems. i keep the pleco well fed!!! thats the key i think. there are 4 plecos in there. scarlet, albino gibbiceps, sunshine, galaxy.

Wow. That pike doesn't try to pick on those rays or the other fish?

not at all. they are quite mild. there is actually pair of pikes in there male and female crenicichla 'xingu' sp. 1. keep them well fed. they eat hikari pellets and frozen krill. they eat 2 - 4 times a day.

omojena

Picture #9 is my favorite!

thanks!!! mine too... its hard to get it in focus with all those fish moving constantly. they come to the right side of the tanks cuz thats where i drop the hikari sinking carnivore pellets in.

Although i wouldnt trust the plecos in there especially with them being leporcanthus species, if they wanted they could do some serious damage

That's what I used to say. Scarlett is by far my favorite Pleco. I had one with my Leos for about a year. One day I came home from work and one of my Leos was completely white. The Scarlett was still sucking on it. Mine too was very well fed. It was a very ugly site. It can happen very quickly. I've heard other horror stories and the Scarlett is probably the worse Pleco to keep with Rays. Good luck and I hope it keeps working out for you. They do look amazing together.

very nice, i thought my 210 was overstocked...lol

lol... i always like to overstock. the fish dont pick on eachother and finicky feeders learn to eat faster.. IMO. i do 80% water changes 1 - 2 sometimes even 3 times a week. my no3 stays under 20ppm always.

with new imports especially stingrays i quarentine in a barebtoom tank and do water changes daily. when i know they arent sick i throw them into the large tank and the FLOURISH! i just had a flower ray that was in quarentine for about 80 days and only ate night crawlers and began chewing on some whole prawn. i threw him into the big tank and within 5 days he learned how to eat krill, shrimp, silversides and is chewing on pellets!!!

Just a beautiful tank. The Peacock really looks great and I think the black sand brings out the marbles. Just a great set up all around. Where did you get the wood center piece? I'm looking for something similar for my 125. Are you going to gt a back drop? I think staying with the black would be AWESOME
