Interesting, im curious what would you relate it to when touching it? leather? any special skin considerations when keeping it?

They feel like very smooth extremely soft leather or suede.
The only special requiremnt I have noticed is they need more humidity when shedding and a good soak does em good every few days. Just like some geckos if kept too dry the shedding skin can form rings on their toes and cut off circulation. A good soak and spilling their water bowl once a day fixes that.

The second picture, it looks like those people with severe burn on their skin...

Supposedly they are sensitive to intense UV such as high watt Mercury Vapor, or more intense lamps. Source of info was from a reputable breeder.

I think the source of reference was from somebody who never owned them.. I have a few and I use mercury vapor bulbs with no ill effects... most of what you read about them is bs regurged from people who have never owned them....

I think, you don't know who I'm talking about. The breeder has experience with them.
Obviously there are variables, and not every MV in every application will show a certain result.

I'm not in the US. There is no link, it was a conversation.
Good luck wading through all the online regurgitation. Also, check out www.uvguide.co.uk if you are interested in UV information. There are plenty of dangerous bulbs on the market, and commonly available bulbs that if used incorectly have dangerous side effects.

I didnt know these were imported into Canada there are 2 lines the Italian and the US line. I dont have to wade through online regurg I have my own experience and expertise in this area.
Dangerous bulbs are just that Dangerous bulbs....
Earlier you said they are sensitive to MV bulbs etc
My arm is sensitive to a match if you hold it against my skin
I think the problem has everything to do with the bulbs and nothing to do with the dragons skin.
I dont know why naming the breeder would be a problem...

I didnt know any Breeders in Canada were working with scaless.
I see no harm in posting the name of the breeder.
I will not wade through all the bs online I have firsthand experience and expertise with these animals and would rather deal with truths rather than regurged falsehoods
You now are saying the bulbs are dangerous well if thats the case they will harm any animal not just scaleless beardies
I think the problem has everything to do with the bulb and nothing to do with the beardies having no scales
I have been using MV bulbs for the last 8 months with no ill effects, The bulb is 7 inches or so from the basking spot and no problems at all.
If you post useless info that you cannot substantiate on forums it just gives the other regurgers something to post all over the internet. B4 u know it everyone is saying that u cant keep em under MV bulbs.
One lies the other swears to it :)
SHOW ME REAL INFORMATION OF A SCALESS BEARDIE BEING BURNED ETC FROM A MV BULB WHERE THE SAME BULB WAS USED SUCCESSFULLY ON A SCALED BEARDIE
Sorry if I am coming off rude but if you make a statement be prepared to back it up :)

Nah, the thread just rekindled my interest in UV discussion for a moment, so I began rambling. But i've all but left reptile keeping, and haven't had much interest in UV since. There is a Yahoo Group that is about UV bulbs and Metering Units. A member there was talking about doing test with her scaleless dragon vs her normal. they posted some results using shed skin in UV metering. I left reptiles before finding out if the person followed through with any tests/results/whatever.
Well, you've got your own expertise, so what do you need a name for. I don't need to put past friends on the spot over a conversation we had long ago.
