So, i got a few new fish. venustus, red zebra, bumble bee, electric yellow, auratus, and two others. the others are a blue one with black stripes. kind of looks like the bumble bee but blue. and a silver one with orange stripes/checkers. any idea what the two unknowns could be? and if any one has any pics of any of these full grown, that would be kool. mine are all juvies at the moment.

I agree. We would definitely need pics in order to positively ID them for you. Until then, it would just be guesses.

yes besides we would like to see pics of them all

so the pics aint that great. i took them with my phone. and the fish wont pose for me. ;) anyway, im looking for ids any of them you can.

The blue one looks like a kenyi, can't see the checkered one but it sounds like a textilis from your description.

pic 1. electric yellow lab
pic 2. red zebra and kenyi
pic 3. golden mbuna (melanochromis auratas),(metriaclima estherae) red zenra and kenyi
pic 5. can't tell
pic 4,6,7. too blurry
pic 9. possibly a nimbochromis venestus (not sure on spelling)

yellow labs, red zebras, mel. auratus (the yellow and dark horizontal striped one-they can be quite aggressive) , crabro (bumblebee), and i see a nimb. venustus. what size tank is this? i had a male venustus and he was 9 inches big. (hes the giraffe spotted fish). he is a hap, and will eventually eat your other fish. the bumblebee will also get on the large side-but mine was fine with my mbuna.

once your venustus sexually matures you may want to rehouse him-he will just eat his tankmates and should be kept with other large haps like himself/herself. If it develops a blue-purplish head its male, if it stays drab its a female.

the blue striped one could possibly be a kenyi.

I was thinking Kenyi on the blue one as well.
