It seem that I see a lot of large Silver Arowanas having drop eye. Is there a way to prevent it? I hear it's from their diet. What would be the best diet to prevent this from happening?
I really think that it is genetic. My reason for thinking that is that if it was really diet, wouldnt you see more asains, blacks and aussies with it?
My silver got a perfect diet of low fat foods (pellets, krill, and shrimp) and it developed drop eye. My black and (with the exact same diet) has not developed it.
It might be the result of irresponsible breeding. Another suggestion is that Drop Eye is caused by a build up of fatty tissues behind the eye and that Drop Eye can be prevented by keeping your Arowana on a low-fat diet and make sure not to overfeed it.
