Hi, I was just wondering if theres anybody here from Las Vegas that has a pond? How many gallons? What type of fish do you keep in the pond? Do they stay in the pond over the winter? If its a smaller pond, does it ever get to hot?? Thanks in advance for any replies.

well,,,,... they tell you to water only a couple times a week ,for a few minutes, a couple times a day, and they even give you your watering days,,,, but we pay for the water we use, so they dont mind.
also the casinos waste water like crazy, apartment complexes too.. And i see people running there sprinklers everyday of the week , for so long that theres a river running down the street gutter, and there whole driveways wet, (and there neighbors driveway and cars.)
My fish are worth every bit of money they use in electricity, water and fishfood.,,,
If I were a bum I would still have a goldfish...

as far as droughts go , this whole planet is having a drought, and this is a desert with a man made lake. So,,, yes .

im about an hour outside of vegas.
i have a pond.
i keep tropicals over the summer and bring them in during the winter.
gambusia, koi, goldfish, minnows, frogs, and sliders live year around.
i geuss in LV wash near the heated runoffs there is supposedly a breeding population of tropicals out there.
plecs, livebearers, the like.
i would love to see that.
