Our new rays (Scobina & Motoro Marble)

Yesterday we got in the car and picked up 1male / 7 female P. scobina in Germany. They are in a 175x100x50cm tank, together with 1m/2f reticulata and 2m/3f hystrix.

Thank you all for the kind reactions :) Was a 9 hour drive to get these babies. The smaller ones are 16-18cm and are 4 months old. The 3 larger ones are 22-24 cm and are 8 months old. Which means that these rays have grown very fast.

If I am correct, the breeder and I are not 100% sure but these are supposed to be F2 pups. The mother is a whopping 40cm and is F1 but the breeder wasn't sure whether the male is bred or wildcaught. He thought bred.

For those not used to the metric system 1" = 2.56 cm

After quite a while it is time for an update.

Today I found the first Scobina pups in the tank. ATM I am one happy camper :)

The first picture is the female yesterday, and the rest speaks for itself.

She delivered 2 male pups

tiny little things, how big are they? how big is the mom?

I guess the pups are abour 2" diameter and the female is about 10-11"

The female that birthed my females is about 8 years old and has a disc of 40cm.
I think this is as large as Scobina get. The males will stay smaller
