Hi all! It's like this, my leos had parasites on Feb. and I cured them. But ever since then, they have not shown intrest in each other.
They have mated before. I don't know what is turning them of cause it's been three months and still no action! One thing I should mention is that I've been feeding them a lot less than before(around 70% full) and fast them two days a week.
Is this turning them down?
The water quality and stuff is the same as ever and they do seem active and healthy! Thanks for any advice!

Was your feeding schedule the same as before as well?

Any possible tankmates stressing them out?

Book them a restaurant, give him a rose and a nice suit, never fails.

Agreed. My one male only really like earthworms and doesn't eat that much when I feed other foods. If he gets earthworms for awhile he then starts to badger the female.

i think alot of ray owners feed their rays up to encourage them to breed and ive heard that they are more likley to breed when there is an abundance of food . if they were fine before and not now . and you changed the feeding by reducing it . i would say try increasing the feeds to at least what it was before and see how you go .

thats what i would try anyhow

I agree, slowly increase the amount of food. And give them time, once they start doing it. You will have a hard time separating him!!!

LOL, thanks guys what I had in mind too, cause I've seen a documentary on sharks and a male was spotted with an erection after a big meal on a dead whale!

15% a week, NO3- is below 50mg/L, should be acceptable for them though not the best.

No, I use to feed them every day! They are pretty much the bullies of the tank, nothing gets near them.

I used Waterlife Octozin, a very mild medication for internal parasites.
