I BOUGHT 2 SILVER FLAGTAILS (Semaprochilodus taeniurus)

Hi Guys

So i thought i'd share with everyone and let all you guys in the UK know how good and profesional Tropical Imports really are.

They offer a great personal service which stand by what they say, Dan at Tropical Imports told me i would recive my 2 Fish befor 10am and at 9.30am i recived my fish extreamly well packed.

I know some people think when having fish shipped out to them, How are they packed and are they ok while in the box well i'll explain how i recived mine.

The Packing go's as follows they come in a large Polly box the fish situated in the centre of the box double bagged and filled with half water half air surrounded with and packed securly with create paper with a large peice of news paper on top to block out anny light so the fish don't freak out with a polly lid placed on top and well taped .

The fish i got were 2 Silver flagtails (Semaprochilodus taeniurus) i took a few pic's on my phone to show them off but there not too good so i'll post the first pic's and some more later.

I'd like to say thank you to Tropical Imports for my fish and i will be using you again in the future. And i strongly recommend them to any person who's in the UK and are wanting to buy rare and not so rare Tropical Fish.

Thanks Pic's are a little poor but i'll take some better ones tonight when it's not so light in my living room and my tank is bright as a light bulb ...

Even though Ive not lost anyfish in shipping, I still worry but thats the friendly one to one service you get with tropical imports.

So far so good !

The Oscars were a little aprehensive at first but they do act strange when i move the tank around or add new fish into the tank they seem to get bossy and nudge the smaller fish it only lasts about 5 to 10 mins then there chill out and just go about there day !

Just found this thread when I was searching for something on my flagtails and thought I'd chip in even though it's a dead one :D

I got an L368, sorbium lima and three flagtails from Tropical Imports at the start of May and, lucky ole me, I got another one free! :woot:

Must have been the extra big hug I gave Danny when he stopped talking for 5 secs (doesn't happen often, believe me!) :naughty:


On that occassion it was fortunate that I was staying near Danny and Paul_MTS, giving me the perfect opporunity to go nose at their fish! :drool:

Anyhow, this does of course mean that I've seen the stock rooms and can report that they're totally spic and span and the fish are all wonderfully healthy and well looked after. Danny spends hours every day looking after his own fish as well as those for sale and I can honestly say that I've never had better service anywhere.

In future I will need to take advantage of his guaranteed postal service, but I have absolutely no worries having seen how securely and carefully he packed my fish.

Having just looked at his updated website and seen what's available, I can't wait for my current new purchases to settle in. Maybe I'll take a peep at his next stock list in the meantime and make yet another wish list! :D
