It says that the dimensions should be 12"x12", 300dpi, etc...
WTH does that mean? 12"? Sorry if I'm just having a stupid moment right now...

I just meant, how exactly do you measure by inches on a computer? Last I checked, it was in pixels...

@ 300 dpi, you would need 3600 pixels to get a 12" image.

In most worthy design software packages, you have options where you can specify what type of measurement to use, to create the canvass...i know all versions of photoshop has this facility...

I'm in the same boat, not artistic at all. I think an Arapaima swallowing something would be cool.

Or a tshirt with large fish scales covering the entire shirt with the MFK logo on the left chest and on the back. Kinda like the arowana shirt that some guy was selling in the classifieds.

I love to see these kinds of contests. I can can Draw good but I can't on the computer. My ex got really pissed when I did on hers it took her forever to get in cleaned again jk. my support will be in the voting. good luck guys maybe somone can have a few monsters on it like a gar/ray/aro/pbass just a thought but I would love to see it.

The great thing about a contest like this is that it keeps the professional artists away due to rules about ownership of the artwork once submitted.

However MFK admins really hurt themselves in that the real professional artists - like myself - would love to submit artwork for the contest - but take issue with contest rules as they remove ownership of art from the artist - - which for all those non-artists out there is how we feed our children and pay our mortgages.

Usually in artist contests - the artist retains ownership and said artwork is used on a limited basis as stated as part of the rules - such as specific uses...this way both parties get something of greater value and therefore the members and users benefit from a better designed t-shirt, desktop background, etc....
