There's a shock, when I first saw the list I was thinking 'well Chaitika wins again', I could tell it was one of yours;)

Congrats to you.

I'm getting better though, I smashed my previous record of 2 votes with 5:ROFL:

Eek, where do I start, lol?

If I remember correctly, he was in a 6x2x2 at the time. Every once in a while he'll become active and will give me some good photo ops. Nothing was done to achieve the background. That is a direct result of using overhead flash to create a downward "spotlight" so to speak. The tank is fully lit but because the flash is so bright, the illusion that the back of the tank is dark is given. It's more the result of the contrast than anything else. :)

Shutter speed was about 1/160th, aperture was in the range of F16, and ISO was 200.

Karma, I only use a photo tank for small fish. Big bichirs need room to swim once they get going, lol.

I tore it down to make some bloody room down there. I just sold a 180 so that frees up some room to set up a rack with a few photo tanks.
Once I've done that, I'll do a thread on photo taking. I'm in the process of doing up a powerpoint presentation for a local fish club for the fall so I'll be able to share some of that on this site as well. :)

Thanks. :) There are several ways to get good pics, and with different cameras. The most important thing is light, and lots of it. :)

Congrats! Your killin the competition!!!

Thanks! :D I do what I can. ;)

Wow, never saw that coming...:D
How big is that endli?

Thanks! He's about 15" in this pic. He's put on an inch or so since then. He looks deceivingly small until people see him in person. He is by far the fish almost everyone comments on first. :) I can't wait to see him at 2 feet. :naughty:
