Well these are no doubt one of the coolest fish on earth! This video done by DangerousDan is really cool! I am getting a school together and really like them! I have 3 and they are very cool and hang together!

that video was crystal clear.....amazing.......i used to own a payara but had to trade him in when i moved, facinating species if you have the right setup.......like in that movie...

That video was sweet! It was funny how one of them accidentally hooked itself to a plant root when it grabbed the feeder.
Paraya look awesome - you can't beat those teeth, but unfortunately I've always found them sort of boring. They're really shy and aside from mealtimes, they just float in one spot and twitch. Maybe mine was just particularly dull. As far as predatory characins go, I've always preffered acestros.
If you're looking for an entire school.. XoticAquatix could hook up the hobbyist with an entire box of wild imports. :)

Well i have a school of 4 doing really well! The biggest one always starts swimming against the glass when i turn the lights off! Anybody know how to stop him from doing that! thanks in advance Howie
