Keep a tight lid. They jump out. Mine did (out of a small hole by the filter) after I grew them to about 7"...

I actually debated on getting those or the Kendalli instead. I have mine in my tank now and they are very similar to the elongatus. I'd keep a tight lid on the tank if i were you. When i was putting the Kendalli in my tank them jumped right out of the holding bucket and into the net, no kidding. Must have been 3 feet. all i did was stand there an hold the net and they all just jumped out and into the net, it was kind of funny but made me really secure my tank lol.

So i could not find any on aquabid and was wondering if theres any vendors in this site who has any that i dont know about? I'm new to these species and curious to know if either the male or female grow up to be black with white spots? I've seen juveniles on film, but their more of a greenish color. If its not too much of a trouble, id like to see some pics! :)

Wetspotcx is the seller that I got my Kendalli from. Greg is a good guy to do business with. He actually tried to stir me towards the Elongatus as well. You should jump on these fish man. They almost remind me of a Tang pike cichlid lol.
