My favorite is the tessilate moray. The patterns, which vary greatly in each one, are simply trance inducing. And the gymnothorax is the coolest type.

love those guys. Extreme marine in Washington has one that is nearly 3 feet long. Little beauty.
Tessalata eels are awesome! The way the color shimmers along with the neutral black and whites is sick.
I also love the green moorays.
Shout out has to go to the wolf eel, I had one jump out of the tank sometime Friday afternoon and I didn't find it until noon on Saturday, he was half stiff and covered in old carpet fibers and dust, I popped him back in the tank and he started breathing, two days later and no ill effects. Went on to live years, I love active fish you can't kill!!
Last but not least, the Snowflake mooray is a great fish for anyone starting with eels, they stay relatively small for an eel, and aren't too aggressive to fish or your hand.
Eels rock, and they make tasty sushi too.
freshwater, fire eel, saltwater Echidna nebulosa, even though they are quite common morays

Who said anything about keeping one??? I just like them the best.
Who said anything about keeping one??? I just like them the best.
Actually, I did, most people aren't aware that they don't eat when in captivity, and I'd hate to see someone waste hard earned money on a fish with no chance.
I agree, they are cool eels.

No I'm saying "who said anything about keeping one" implying "why would I keep one? I just like the look."
Hehe hidden meanings, gotta love them!

I don't know the Dragons are pretty scary looking when you see them in the water, and there isn't anything seperating you from them but water.

It is a toss up between two for me.
1.) Brazilan Golden
2.) White Mouth
I have both of the ones listed above but would also love a Hawian Dragon

That is what I have seen and heard also. We got one in at the store last week it did not make 2 days. It looked bad when we got it. I am still not sure why the owner even ordered it.

Tesselatta morays are SWEET! Ribbon eels are killer as well. Personally I like garden eels just as much.
