Hey I"m looking for some suggestions on what to feed my baby South american lungfish. Its about 3" right now and I've been feeding full life spectrum micropellets which I've seen it eat occasionally but I'm worried its not getting enough food. Would baby feeder snails be a good choice? Thanks ~Trent

My pair of juvie SALs eat earthworm sticks, sinking high density crumble, snails, chopped market raw shrimp, frozen bloodworms, chopped catfish fillets, baby crayfish, chopped earthworms, and krill.

If you are worried for his health you could get him started on live blackworms or frozen bloodworms. Once he bulks up you can try starving him for a little to get him more willing to eat what is available. I have done this to most my lungs and pretty soon they become beggers!

Thanks for the info, frozen blood worms will be added to his menu :)
