Really nice Juruense, lovely markings.

Looking like he needs a bigger tank though :)

Edit - sorry missed the part where you gave him away to a bigger tank :irked:

May I ask what you were feeding him to grow so well? I have a 5" Juruense and he eats rerally well, but is growing very slowly at the moment.

thanks for your reply !
I always breed my fish with small fish or mudfish
and i change the water of my tank per week about 1/3 to 1/2

Ah ok so feeder fish, and do about same water changes as me.

Mines on chopped up prawn, sinking pellets and bloodworm at the moment.

Tbh I'm not convinced "flash" and normal Juruense are different fish, I'm yet to see any real hard evidence for it.

As I say I'm yet to see solid evidence proving this theory.

Have had two Juruense, one came with what most consider the "flash" markings, but after a few weeks went to the normal marking, the other ones remained like the one above as "flash".

I believe its just a difference in age, stress, water conditions etc, and not a different colour variety etc.

Done alot of research on this, and lots of people seem to think there ate two distinct colourations, yet no solid proof seems to exist to support it.
