"tiger" loaches

my tiger loaches make a "clacking" sound. i thought it was them slamming gravel off the glass or something but one day I watched them and they were making the noise in the middle of the tank away from the glass. they were having a bit of a squabble over something. why do they make these very loud noises?

I dont know, mine do it when they eat. Weird. Maybe defending the food? Oh by the way Downset21. Im originally from Sudbury and my grandmother lived in Quincy.

Clown loaches do it too. They do it at different times, when they fight, when they feed, etc.

I thought loaches make that noise when they're happy. Can anyone confirm my statement? :)

Mine do it when there eating for definate and ive heard them do it when in a shoal, theyve woke me up sometimes there that loud!

Dont remember what part I just remember green street. Thos clowns from Beastie Boys used to live 3 houses down and Mark Walburg lived near there too.

My loaches click all the time....I have a tiger loach too....Mine is about 5" right now, and as fat as can be!

i've got a tiger but ive never noticed any clicking, maybe because i only have one. hmmmmm
