i just got one and would like some info on them
This one?
I have never kept one but here is a little info.
It is the Serranus subligarius (related to groupers and fairy basslets) and is found from N. Carolina to northern Gulf of Mexico, often near isolated structure on sand bottoms. It gets around 4" long and hangs out just above the bottom. It is a predator and feeds mainly on inverts but a 4" one was seen eating a 3 1/2" goby. They are mainly solitary and can be territorial. When breeding they are hermanphrodites and trade eggs.
That is all I found.

I'm not trying to be ugly here, but shouldn't one research a possible new acquisition BEFORE buying to make sure it's need can be met?
