Which fish has larger spawns? They can tolerate freshwater to saltwater well. It does not mean it is necessary to add marine salt in your tank especially when you have other fish in there that will not tolerate the elevated salinity. As long as the hardness levels are high in freshwater setups, the mollies will be fine. It's the soft water that you should watch out for. I had two black mollies intended as feeders to my lionfish a few years back and they survived predation for nearly two years before I quit SW.wanstar;3258309; said:also yeah millies go mad for salt my friend uses them for maturing his filters in his marine set ups. i never used salt but heard it does make them more active anything from brackish to full marine.
