Getting a juvie aro tonight, just wondering what I can use to block up those spare spaces in the back of the tank to stop him from jumping out???

Hi,it all depends on how big the spaces are and what form they have.

the wood will get mildew on it. You can have glass cut to fit for pretty cheap.

LOL I didn't think of that.

Thanks for the response. I will look into getting some glass put in there. :)

I'll be looking for a cheap way to do the same. I'm wondering if there are some plastic grates or something at home depot.

you could probably cut your own plastic grates to fit, and weight them down with a rock.

you can use window screen and cut it to fit, then just silicone seal it. it allows air to get through to the tank, but its sturdy enough that they should get through it

Personally I wouldn't suggest using egg crates, the aro can hurt itself along the sharp ridges; but thats just me..

Nice thick glass should do it.. Check your local custom glass shops.

There have been a few people report that there aros got cut up from jumping into eggcrate.
