ALSO, SORRY THE PICS ARE NOT IN ORDER, THOUGHT WHEN I UPLOADED THEY WOULD BE POSTED AS I INTENDED - SO THE PICS WITH NO BACKGROUND CAME 1ST, THEN THE BACKGROUND SHOTS CAME LATER.

Wow, you bought a lot of discus!! How big is your tank. The fish look great! I see you did not quarantine them before adding them in with other fish. Hope they do well for you. How big is your tank?

I got these from Discus Hans so he had stated not a prob to flop & plop! As long as my parameters were close to his.

What I should have done was remove my angels/med. pleco b-4 the plop. I didn't use any of the traveled water since it had a lot of debris.

Tank size is 72gal bowfront. Yeah, I bought one of each juvie strain he had available. some were bigger than juvies but who can complain!

thks again.

p.s. if I had seen this one CL posting a MFK copied link to I would have jumped at this offer (just saw it monday) 17 juvies for $200!!

Pretty nice pick-up. How much did it cost you? You have some real nice looking pigeon bloods, no peppering at all. Also, If you go for a black background it might show off your discus better.

Black background or substrate will cause peppering in the pigeon bloods. I'd go with no darker than a medium blue.

I never knew black brought out the darker pigments in pigeon bloods. Good to know. :D My pigeon's are over a light sky blue paint.

I'll be getting a refurbished current satellite dual 36" tomorrow friday. This should add a lot of lighting to compensate for the darker background - I hope. I do have 2 discus that are very dark, their true colors haven't come thru yet.

thx all!
