I just picked up a new aro today. It is about 4.5in if not 5in. I have only had a silver aro before. This new aro I am not to sure about what it is. When I had my aro it had red edgeing on its fins like most little silvers do, well this new aro has yellow. I have only seen black aro at a big size, or at a small size with a yolk sack still that are jet black. I haven't seen one at this size before so I am not to sure.

So do you guys think it is a black or a silver?

Going to feed it cichlid gold, small crickets, and small pieces of smelt. Last aro I had I fed it the cichlid gold and it kept the red all the way to 12in before I sold it, so I guess I will see what happens with this one.

When it gets big enough it will go in with my motoros in a 300gl rubbermaid tub, but right now they would eat him like a worm. I have it in a 20gl quarintine, and in about a month it will go in a 90 till it is about a foot.

Mine all have the red in their tails and scales and my largest has just hit 15", and it has actually gotten darker since I bought him.
