Did they kill this thing or keep it alive and just take the phot out of water?
The world wildlife fund and nat geographic took pics of it, I wondered if they kept it alive since they are into preserving animals lives.
THAT would be one hell of a tank buster!!
Anybody here got a tank big enough for THAT?

Sadly, a picture is not enough for most anglers...
I'm sure, from the looks of the skin being all dried out, that this record fish was not released.
Keeping a fish to eat it is one thing but keeping a fish that took god knows how many years to reach that size is quite another...
Am I at 5 posts yet so I can see all the pictures??? lol

ive got ketchup and fish fry, who got the grease we can feed three villages for a month on that thing, imagine if that was the last giant male, hope not!!:headbang2 :popcorn:

i hard to believe to see this thread again this story has been around for years.
I would love to know how many years that monsters been alive, must be an amazing number.
