6000 gph atleast thats my oppinion

that will do nicely

a pond should have a pump that can turn the tank over at best 3-4 times per hour

I'm pushing 3500gph with my pump for my 1000g pond and also another 500gph with the fountain I have in the middle of it. I use a Sequence pump.
