I'm not sure. The only one I was able to find I quickly bought and have not seen any since.
Mil, check her personal gallery. I don't know my cats but she has 2 nice ones.
The shovelnose cats monique2212 have are fairly commonly found in the trade. They are both mass bred in Asia.

it is not that the tiger shovelnose is rare for the most part they are available to yout local pet store but many pet stores are hesitant to order such a fish with good reason with it getting so large it would be next to impossible for them to sell it to a good tank yes most of us do have large tanks but most people in the trade stick smaller with 75's and 55's...
The tiger shovelnose is not really rare. Not many fish stores cary them because they get so large so fast. I have had my shovelnose for about 6 months and he is a foot long, and growing fast. my 75 gallon won't hold him much longer. I've worked in a fish store for over a year and i've never had one come through my store. But they are out there. Usually have to be ordered.
