my gold red aro is so tiny,i wonder how long it will take to grow up,it is actually a rare type of hybrid you know.i really want it to eat more shrimps.

Second pic looks like a green aro to me and gold red sounds like ton yang and it's not rare at all.

Red gold? Another labelling for Red tail golden arowana (RTG)... Not rare....

Oh yeah just remember from my very own RTG cert that came from CV Maju. It said "Red Gold".

Nice little RTG aro. Have patience, I am sure he will grow well. You can try putting pellets in his shrimp. I also sometimes soak the shrimp in liquid vitamins over night for a little extra boost.

I'm not too sure how this is helping the return of the wildstock...
As we are buried in legalities, and large fines for owning Asian Aro here, I was so hoping that work was being done to strenghthen the natural resources and I had hopes of the native runs comming back...

But just be advised that in Indonesia, RTGs are known as Golden Reds.

Which farm it came from and what does the cert tells you?
My RTG that came from CV Maju was also called Gold Red. "Maju Gold Red"

Bloody rose? But sad to say, it will look like a RTG. This kinda cross breeding of SR and RTG was done long time ago. And as gold genes is strong, it cover anything that cros with it.
Infact, this kinda fish still easily available locally here. So not rare.

When I asked my LFS guy what a golden red was, he smiled really wide and said it's an RTG often referred to by that name in asia. :)
