I have always liked angelfish, but never had a proper angel fish group.

Today I got lucky and came across some 'blue angelfish' never heard of them until today, but they look awesome!

Hopefully they will be able to pair up with 'big black' my big angelfish in the bichir tank, that would produce some nice looking offspring I think.

They're in a grow-out with some baby bichirs right now. :)

Thanks! any idea what kind of blood is in these? Friend of mine says either wild bolivian, or maybe german blusher with zebra?

It reminds me of pinoy angelfish, but with stripes. If one of them does spawn with 'big black' when they're mature enough, I'm guessing that would produce something similar to a 'pinoy angel'?

Yeah I got 5, would've got more but I bought a light for my 5g and a baby FF at Tom's.

'Pinoy angel' is a strain of angelfish developed by angelfish breeder Kenneth Kennedy in the Philippines. It is black angelfish with the same blue shine like these, very nice:

I saw some blue angels in Chinatown. Stunners in person. Those are fine pictures, but you've got to see them shimmer in person to really appreciate the blueness... Nice pickup!

I highly recommend them, they really stick out among normal angels.

I was lucky and found these at an LFS for $7.50 or something like that.

I lost 4 of them, and bought the last one they had later, so I only have two.

What you can do though is contact Mike Gibbs. He is one of the best angelfish breeders I have seen on aquabid, his fish are perfect, flawless quality.

His fish are $8.50 a piece I think, I forgot. I have an order coming in on thursday or friday for some pinoys and some blue zebras, I'll post pics when they arrive.

Contact him at:mikegibbs@newwavecomm.net

Ask him whats available, he has awesome customer service.

Sweet, can't wait to see the pinoys. I have a dream tank with about 20 angels, including blues, blue platinums, pinoy ghosts, and pinoy clowns. Ahhhh, I love blue fish

that's what I had in mind too when I got the blues in these pics, but now I'm going to try and breed them.

Every cichlid I have spawns for me eventually, so that was in my plans aswell. I think I'm gonna go buy some now.
