A lfs near me has 2 and I had never seen them before. from what i gather they like to school and stay rather small at 5".
So does anyone keep them (pics?) and if so what are they like.
Other common names for them are
zamora wood catfish
midnight catfish
They seem like a perfect oddball rare cat for a smaller tank like a 55 or so.

I got a couple. They always stay together and hide most of the time. Nice colours though.

agree hide 90% of the time, really not hard to keep though

Super cool catfish, swims round in schools in open water. Voracious feeders too...only problem is they only do it when the lights are off...

I got a trio, but it seems that 2 of them huddle together and the other one is a 3rd wheel. I've always liked these Cats. I had some probably 12 years ago and couldn't find them again until a couple of months ago. I love their look, but they are very secretive and like to hide a lot and are only active when it's dark. If you ever get a chance to catch them swimming around, it's a treat to see. They look like miniature sharks when they swim around.
