That a motoro? Never kept one but they are cheap inthe fish markets around the rio negro. Starange lookiing meat, like parallel sausages, very mild in taste.

not dissing that ray. But will its stinger heal its self i notice it looks like it splinterd. I see lots of them in lfs with tails like that. Will they heal . do they grow back or do they stay that way once the damage happens to them?
By the way anyone no whatr type of rays the lfs carry called generic fresh watter tea cup rays?

from what i hear others say, teacups are usually reticulata. rays shed their stingers periodically; the old one will fall off and you can pick it up out of the tank, while a new one moves in to replace it.

This bad boy is still in quarantine by himself.
unfortunately, i kind of messed up with the water quality
and he lost weight.

he is back on track and eating blackworms now.
I will take pics when he is nice and pretty. Cross your fingers for me guys.

yeah he is a Henlii.

RTF ( Wes) had a bad test kit ( for ammonia) and the water quality issues he had were totally not his fault, imo he is a very consciencous aquarist. We brainstormed for quite a while to figure it out.
This is something for everyone to be aware of...TEST KITS GO OFF SOMETMES, so when things don;t make sense, fish aren't quite right but things test normal, that may be a reason.

Did not Know that, Another thing to be paranoid about. I'll watch the batch #s or buy 2 brands at a time from now on.
