cool, how did you do it, I've done it in accidently in a rice paddy 10'x15'x1'deep. that I was raising zebra dianos in. I had a seasonally marshy spot in my backyard that I dug out, bermed, and planted. It also produce a nice crop of giesha girls and bronze corys. Basically I just dumped out everything I couldn't find homes for from a couple of small community tanks that I wanted to use for other fish. I planted and stocked in early spring and drained it in late fall and had fish galore.

Actually it was a friends back yard in Hayward, Ca, he was my nieghbor. One back corner of his yard was always a mud puddle so we dug it out almost a foot deep them rototilled the mud and a bit of steer manure, we piled the dirt at the fenceline and tamped it firm. Then we planted rice plant shoots every 3-4" and filled it with a hose and added some dechlorinator. The ground seepage kept 6-8" of water on top of the 6" or so of mud. We also dumped in buckets of water from water changes at my house and his. Once the rice started growing and some algae grew we pretty much ignored it except to check the water levels daily. It was just a big mud puddle full of plants. We also got glass shrimp and fairy shrimp out of it.
