Is this rule no longer in effect? Contest begins on the first of each month. There will be a limited 14 day voting period, followed by the selection of a winner with the highest number of votes. If in the instance of more than one winner is selected (same number of votes), a secondary voting would be held to determine the grand prize winner.

due to the volume of the entries we are receiving, our PotM contests has been split into two separate votings.

It's a chimaera, and as Ming said, possibly a Hydrolagus colliei. Saltwater and a relative of sharks, BTW. :D
Best regards.

i think its the case with a lot of people. i duno, the glare and that you can see on pic one is a downer, but i think the clarity of the subject matter is a lot clearer. i also prefer whats happening in the pic. just my op.

The fish is a spotted ratfish and it is a marine fish. I took the pic at an aquarium in a very dark room with no lights on the tank. I had to use a flash and that accounts for the glare. The fish is a bottom dweller and does not like alot of light.
