goldfish will eat everything. mine love danios. id say maybe pleco, but its just a 29 so in the long run id just let the gf scavenge himself.

If you’re looking for tank mates, I have some rosy red minnows with my goldies that go great and look wonderful. But ya, Goldfish are like cows they constantly graze the bottom of the tank looking for food so you don't have to have a scavenger.

i had two goldfish in a 10 gallon for a while and they got big and they just made the tank nasty and extremely dirty all the time, my uncle gave me his 55 gallon about a year after having the goldfish and it had a pleco and i put my goldfish in it and it also had some kind of barb. but the goldfish got almost a foot long in that thing lol they were huge.

If you want a bottom dweller for a golfish tank, a good one is a dojo loach, they can take the colder water and they are pretty interesting. But really goldfish do a good job on their own.

I recommend Goldfish and a common pleco. If you want other fish, go tropical.

I keep a 20 gal hex at my girlfriends house that continues to amaze me. 3 Ryukin goldfish 3"+, a dozen neons, a 3" chocolate pleco, 6 ghost shrimp, and 2 very happy mystery snails. One blue and one ivory.

The tank is 6 months old and we haven't lost a petco-neon yet. (Y)

I would go with the dojos, they are great fish, very amusing and hardy

It's heated. 75 degrees and filtered with a AC30. And correction it's a 15 gallon hex. Siento.

Actually I have a cameraphone pic from set-up day.

Other than the stock, the only change is the addition of a few more pieces of topfin fake coral in the bottom of the tank. Hiding places.
