Today I tried putting my 12" RTG in with my 19" jardini to see if they could stay together...had little hope for success, but still wanted to give it a try.

After about half an hour of staying with each other, the RTG tried to chase the jardini a few times. The jardini passively ignored him for a while until the RTG started to square off with him. It was persistent until finally the RTG bit the jardini's tail and cut it. That was enough for me and I immediately scooped up the RTG and threw him back in his own tank again.

Surprised with the results though, with the jardini being a jardini (plus size), and that the RTG was such a punk.

if you had waited till lights out - things would've changed.. jardini's are showfish during the day and killers at night.

you had guts to try that...jardini is so much bigger..i would think the jardini can just chomp that rtg into half...but the rtg attacked the jar instead..lol

When the jardini was smaller (8"), I had him with a silver (23") and that lasted for a good 2 months with no problems whatsoever, even during feeding. After 2 months the silver blew through the glass lid overnight, and slowly the balance in the tank was thrown off, everyone started fighting.
