Just wondering if anyone out there is raising moray eels? I caught an 8" long moray at the beach and there are dozens more where they came from. They are the common gray type. There are banded morays but that is a little further out in the deeper water. Any advise?

yes, there are quite a few moray keepers on mfk, both brackish, and saltwater. lucckly they are all in the same forum (where this should be)

I don't have one but will move this to the salt/brackish forum where you are more likely to catch the attention of moray owners.

Although I can't help with keeping them I do notice that the waters of Guam contain not less than 41 species of morays (including the 10" dwarf moray Gymnothorax melatremus) and at least 5 or 6 snake eels. the Dwarf comes in to color phases and one is sold as the golden moray.
Here is a link listing the Saltwater fish of your island http://filaman.ifm-geomar.de/Country/CountryResultList.cfm?requesttimeout=9999&Country=316&group=marine
and a couple pics of the dwarf moray

I've kept a few smaller animals as well as a pair of adult greens.

Give them lots of hiding spots and be aware that they like to 'snack' on tankmates small enough to fit in their mouths.
