C. anthurus update pics

Here's a few update pictures of my anthurus pair. The female is turning into a real looker! But she's a little rough on the male. He's not looking quite as good. I think part of it is they've been really crowded with all the gar and sunfish. I moved two of the gar yesterday, and once my outdoor pond is done, all the gar and the sunfish will be heading outside, clearing up a lot of space in their tank.

They look good! careful not to leave them too much space, as you know, when a female is ready, it can be just as bad as an ornery male! toss in some dithers, silver dollars are great for that!

Well, when the gars and sunfish are gone, there will still be a juvie freddie, two juvie jaguars, and a senegal bichir to keep them company.

maybe get like 2 male cons in there to break **** up or 1 pair of cons. here in town we got some really really nice hrp's and i love the way they act. my male is just as bad as a normal con. and the metallic blue on the top fin and the body are so sexy

those are some nice pikes. agree with bigpic. i think silver dollars are a great addition to any pike tank.

I think the addition of a pair of cons is a good idea too. A little live food (baby cons) is sometimes all they need to trigger spawning.
