I just got a new job and a new apt. I own a 65 g. central american tank, with convicts salvini and a nice looking 6" still growing jack dempsey. I also own a 40 g. high with some africans n a small 2-3" butti in it. I hear butti get pretty psycho, I saw this incredible 60 g. high tank, that I totally am in love with, Its so tall, and I am tall, so I want it. I want to house the butti in it. would it work in the long run? By himself?or could some other fish go in it along with him or her?I am unsure of the sex cuz, it is so small still. I really like butti's, and I would really like to have a seperate tank for one, I just don't want it to be bored.

i'm not sure about the dimensions of the tank, but you wouldn't be able to keep anything else with it for sure in something that size.

yea, I know that in the long run it would not work, but this butti is only like 2-3". I'm just saying for the time being, could something cichlid go along with it? for a little while? and what? this particular butti hasn'nt caused any problems thus far.

should be fine at that size, at that size you could basically go with any mid sized cichlid you want. Most aren't generally very aggressive when they're in the 3 inch range
