Fishbase and it's related links are great sources for info and pics and Florida has a couple sites about established invasives.
I was never a biologist but I have been accused of selling my soul to the fish gods. lol

PS, the 2 anoles from your backyard are now getting fat in with my sisters anoles and house geckos

We only know them as "butiki". Which I'm sure the TRUST can relate to.:D

I wish I had seen it out of the water, from above it seems to lacK the "warpaint" and opcular extention of the warmouth but that could just be because of the angle of the photo, I was guessing nile tilapia because of the lip. You got a better look at it than I did so here are a couple pics for comparison.

I just looked up butiki and they are several species of house gecko , the most common being Hemidactylus frenatus, accordind to one site the are sometimes used in traditional medicine by deep frying until crisp and eating them to treat asthma.

There are a couple species of house gecko in Florida now as well as Tokays but the lizards we saw were anoles, mainly bahama/brown anoles, but I did see one green (native), one crested, and several bark anoles. The ones I brought home were all bahamas (4 total)

As a kid I got barbed wire stucked in my forehead trying to catch one of those. I stayed away from them after that. Lol:)

Yep, You should see the way I cook for myself. If I have a great cut of beef I just chill it until firm then slice very thin and dip it in horseradish sauce.

mmmmmmmmmm pure red meat in horseradish yummy yummy yum i sometimes will get a very thick steak and only flame kiss the sides for 1 min on a very very hot grill get some good slightly hard italian garlic bread to slop up the blood and sit back with a large beer

I take an hour to grill a steak. I stand next to the grill with a Corona and turn those bad boys every 5 minutes, always on low. They turn out juicy, medium, and delicious. Going to grill some chops tonight!
